Head frills
The head frills are worked onto R10 where the blo is.
Make one on the right and one on the left side of the head.
Slst to side of head either onto the left or the right.
Ch 4, then from 2nd chain from the hook, 3 sc to the beginning of the chain.
Slst back into the same stitch you began your frill.
Repeat three more times going up (right) or down (left) the side of the face, then fo and hide the yarn tails.
Assembly
Sew the head onto the body with the snout facing forwards the same direction as the belly. Sew between R8-11 on bottom of the head.
Sew the upper fins onto the body on R31, about 4-5 visible stitches apart.
Sew the lower fins onto the body on R24, about 7-8 stitches apart.
Little crochet monster can also be made into a snuggler.
Just don’t stuff the body.
Spine frills
Slst into a stitch on R8, at the top of the head, centered. Chain 3, then slst into a stitch 1-2 rounds down working towards the tail.
Continue until you reach the end of the tail.
